Our Cause – Supporting Research
The scope of research and complexity of cases at University Health Network (UHN) have made it a national and international source for discovery, education and patient care. It has the largest hospital-based research program in Canada, with major research in diabetes, transplantation, cardiology, neurosciences, oncology, surgical innovation, infectious diseases, and genomic medicine.
Your participation in Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival provides extraordinary research support to the outstanding medical researchers at University Health Network. These investigators are internationally recognized leaders whose work is transformative in their field. Funds from Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival will help to retain them in Toronto and enable them to significantly expand their research programs.
The proceeds raised at the festival this year will directly support scientific research and fund key program areas at Toronto General Hospital and Toronto Western Hospital, including the McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine, University Health Network.
