Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival 2011
The 7th Annual Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival was a huge success raising over $2M, bringing the total in seven years to 10.2 million dollars!

Twenty seven of Toronto’s most luxurious homes were host to the Exclusive Wine & Dine Experience where guests enjoyed extraordinary wines from world class estates expertly paired with exquisite cuisine by top chefs.  A University Health Network (UHN) scientist and renowned vintner were present at each home as special guests to educate and entertain!
Funds raised at the 2011 Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival supported groundbreaking medical research at Toronto General and Toronto Western Hospitals including the McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine, the Arthritis Program and the Diabetes Centre.

The McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine was founded with generous donations from Rob and Cheryl McEwen. Its mission is to be a catalyst for regenerative medicine by facilitating collaboration, supporting research, and promoting awareness in the field.

The Arthritis Program at UHN is home to Canada’s largest multidisciplinary Arthritis program. The program, led by Dr. Nizar Mohamed comprised the largest division of clinical researchers in North America, with over 80,000 arthritis outpatient visits and 4,500 surgical procedures annually.

The Diabetes Centre offers specialized patient programs that provide a personalized approach towards essential self-management for a better quality of life. The Diabetes Centre sets the gold standard in research, patient care and education.
Our sincere appreciation to all of those who continue to support the Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival. A special thank you to our co-chairs, Todd Halpern and Cheryl McEwen, hosts, chefs, wine makers, guests, UHN scientists, event sponsors and supporters.

We look forward to seeing everyone next year for the 8th Annual Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival, October 26th & 27th, 2012.
