Founded in 1979, Tafelmusik is lead by renowned Music Director Jeanne Lamon, and the ensemble has reached the top of the musical world – reaching millions of people through its extensive concert and touring schedule, and with over 76 CD releases to their credit.  At home in Toronto, Tafelmusik performs over 50 concerts each season and continues to build on its incredibly successful artist training and music education programs, which reach out to over 7,500 young people annually. The excellence of Tafelmusik is also reflected beyond its artistic reputation. It is the gold standard of excellence with nine years of balanced budgets and no accumulated debt.

Tafelmusik’s long-term vision is to be a centre of musical excellence for generations to come. To realize this vision, Tafelmusik needs not only to grow today, but to prepare for the future. Proceeds from the Gala will be designated to support both current operating funding, but will also be designated for Tafelmusik’s 1.5 million Endowment Fund – which will ensure that the organization will remain strong for generations to come.
