How are my monthly donations used?
Circle of Life monthly donors are absolutely essential to helping the Foundation meet its fundraising objectives. Because you are one of hundreds of others who care, we are able to do much more than might otherwise be possible.
While the provincial government provides the budget to operate our clinical programs, we count on donors like you to help us purchase advanced technology that allows our doctors to perform life-saving procedures every day. Equally vital are the research projects your monthly gifts make possible.

How do my gifts help research?
In our hospital-based research institutes there are hundreds of highly original research projects just waiting for the funding they need to get off the ground. For many promising scientists, getting large research grants can be a huge hurdle because granting agencies and industry sponsors often only award funds to those scientists who have their basic research costs covered.
Your monthly gifts allow scientists to plan ahead, purchase essential lab equipment and supplies, and recruit staff. In fact, every dollar you give has the potential to be tripled – your help with start-up costs mean they can go on to attract the major external grants that take their projects to the next level.

How will my monthly commitment be recognized?
Your decision to donate on a regular basis makes you a member of our Circle of Life. The Foundation will be pleased to acknowledge your commitment with a subscription to ‘Report on Your Support’, the Foundation newsletter and invitations to our Behind the Scenes lecture series featuring world renowned doctors and scientists.

What is the advantage to Monthly Giving?
Many of our donors prefer monthly giving because it allows them to give a more substantial gift to our hospitals with greater ease, because payments are more manageable in smaller amounts.
For the Foundation, monthly gifts enable us to make commitments to hospital projects that have long-term impact – dependable, predictable revenue makes planning easier.

How do I make monthly gifts?
It is easy to join our Circle of Life. Simply click here and complete our secure, online donation form. Please tell us your monthly pledge amount by selecting one of the choices or entering your choice in “other”. Then select your preferred method of payment – either by pre-authorized cheque or credit card.
If you choose to pre-authorize withdrawals from your bank account, please send us a void cheque with your name and address. Please tell us how much you would like to donate each month and when – choose from the 1st or 15th of each month. If you prefer, you may send us a set of post-dated cheques. You may cancel, pause or increase your gift at any time.

Will I get a tax receipt?
Yes, Circle of Life monthly donors are receipted for their total annual giving at the end of the calendar year. For donations less than $20, receipts will be issued only upon request.

Yes, the Foundation will ensure that your gift supports your area of interest.
