The Young Investigators Bursary Fund is an endowed fund held by the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation. It was created to support emerging research at Toronto General and Toronto Western Research Institutes. Donations to the Young Investigators Bursary Fund will be pooled and invested (preserving the capital of your original donation) while the earned interest will be dispersed to the Research Institutes on an annual basis – in perpetuity. Scientists like Drs. Lam, Ghanekar and Dunn are just a few examples of the extraordinary researchers who will benefit from the Young Investigators Bursary Fund. The use of the investment income will be determined each year by the leadership of the Research Institutes, based upon current priorities.
The Young Investigators Bursary Fund, will fuel innovation and discovery, and ensure that the necessary funding will always be in place to support the medical challenges of the future. Please consider becoming a part of this vital resource by making a gift that keeps on giving.
For a minimum donation of $10,000, you may name your bursary after yourself, a loved one, or your company or foundation. You will receive a report each year detailing how your bursary was used, and the extraordinary outcomes that were achieved as a result of your giving. And like your original investment, your sense of pride and satisfaction will continue to grow for years to come.
