Frequently Asked Questions when creating Celebration Tribute fundraising pages
Do I need to donate myself?
It is entirely up to you. While you are responsible for setting up the page and inviting others to donate, you are not obligated to give.
What are the advantages to setting up a Celebration Tribute fundraising page online?
- Online donations are the most cost-effective way to give to Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation.
- Donors will receive an electronic tax receipt immediately via email.
- It is simple to set up and universal, anyone can support you from anywhere any time.
- It’s ongoing; you do not have to put a time limit on your occasion.
What materials do you have available?
We can offer you place cards and insert cards for your invitations.
Can I include a personal message inside the card to my guests?
Yes, our Celebration Program allows you to customize these cards specifically to your needs. Once you decide on your personalized message we will work with you to coordinate the place/insert cards.
Can the cards be used for other special occasions?
Yes. In addition to weddings, cards can be used for any number of special occasions including anniversaries, birthdays, holiday parties, graduations, retirements or bar/bat mitzvahs.
When should I should I contact the Foundation to make arrangements for tribute gifts?
We suggest that you contact the Commemorative Giving office at Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation office approximately 2 - 3 months prior to your wedding or special occasion to ensure that we have enough supplies and time for printing and delivery.
Is there a minimum donation for these materials?
While we do not require a minimum donation, often individuals consider spending between $5 and $10 per guest on party favours and make their donation accordingly. We appreciate your support.
A tax receipt will be issued for the full amount of your donation.
