The Krembil Neuroscience Centre
The brain and nervous system – and the structures that support and protect them – are among the most complex in our bodies. The nervous system governs our memories, intelligence, feelings, movements and sensations. Loss or impairment of any one of these essential functions is devastating.
The Krembil Neuroscience Centre (KNC) is an internationally recognized leader in treating diseases and injuries that affect the brain, nervous system and spine.
KNC has advanced revolutionary treatments for Parkinson’s Disease and depression using Deep Brain Stimulation. KNC is home to Ontario’s only radiosurgery facility that treats difficult-to-reach brain tumours and lesions non-invasively. KNC is at the forefront of research to restore movement and sensation following spinal cord injuries.
Support from our donors helps make these discoveries possible. But this is just the beginning. More than 30,000 patients and their families count on us every year to find the answers to some of the most complex medical challenges. We need your help to continue our mission of discovery.
