Golf makes its own contribution to medical science
August 18, 2008 – The ninth annual Lew Dunn Golf Tournament took place at The Club at Bond Head, raising over $300,000 for the R. Lewis Dunn Scholarship in Colorectal and Oncologic Surgery. The Dunn family organizes the event each year in memory of Mr. Dunn, who passed away in October 1999. The scholarship, which has brought in $1.7 million over the course of nine years, provides support for doctors who have finished their training and are opting to devote extra time to studies relating to colon cancer.
